Searls Historical Library
Operated by the Nevada County Historical Society: an archive of original historical documents and photos made accessible by a comprehensive card index. You will be assisted by volunteers. Photocopies available, $.50 each.
Researchers are welcome to access over 22,000 Nevada County historical photographs, nearly 3,000 printed books on early California and Gold Rush history, and over 1,000 maps of the area.

Newspapers on microfilm, cemetery and mortuary indexes, naturalizations, court records, tax records, property records on microfilm, mining collection, maps, directories, local histories and much more.
