RECENT EVENTS

Thursday, Nov. 15

The Nevada County Historical Society presented its annual Speaking Contest on Thursday, Nov 15. High school students competed for prizes ranging from $50-$300 for the best speech on a Nevada County historical topic. The presentation took place at the Railroad museum in Nevada City. The winning speeches will be published in a forthcoming issue of the NCHS Bulletin in 2008. See photos
